Evaluation Four.

4.Who would the audience for your meida product ?
Statisticly Fangirls are a very loyal audience so I believe they would be a good audience for our film, Lionsgate have produced lots of films such as The hunger gamnes series and Divergent both of which have a huge online fanbase. Word of mouth is agubly the best form of advertising so I believe rather than advertise to a large but unattached audinece I believe it would be more profitable to advertise to a smaller but more consistant group of teenagers for then there will be opentunitys for merchandise sales, signings, limited additions dvd sales and Q&A sessons.

Our ideal audience would have,

A good sence of humour,
Could have an interest in other fandoms,
Be attentive,
Interested in the themes of the film,
Could have slightly alternate views.
I have put together some sterotypes of our ideal audinces likes and dislikes.

Evaluation Three

What kind of media instituation might distribute your media product and why?

Saturday, 22 February 2014

Evaluation Two

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Although both scenes are set in different places we believe the audience are made to believe that the begining of our film foreshadows something similar to the ending of 'We need to talk about Kevin.'
We have conformed to the sterotypes of the 'normal/popular' high school girl, dressed in black wearing uggs and holister. She has straight black hair and is similar to may characters from movies in the same genre that pretend to fit in with the social norms and end up doing something drastic such as in Mean girls were she starts of against the norm and ends up rebeling. This reflects what happened to our girl. We feel this is a character a lot of high school girls could empathis with as many feel sufficated by social sterotypes.

Point 25-Risk Assessment

I have created a Risk assessment for the day of filming to minimise the risk of an accident.
We have chosen to film in the Peter Kirk which is a ruin of an old church. It is maintained by the local authority and therefore deemed safe for visitors. As it is an old church there is a slight risk of building movement, for example weathering. The actress runs through the building, and to address risk, we plotted out the exact path she would be runnning, and then took her through it in daylight so she could familiarise herself with any uneven ground.

Extra for point 23-Practice shots video.

In practice for our shots me and Ursie went out and took lots of shots so we would have an idea of how to create our final video.
We looked at different music styles and camera shots in order to be fully prepard, we also desided on a end to our opening sequence, the protaginest will rip pages out of a book and burn them.

I have attached a video made of all our shot ideas.

Point 23-Shot List

There were a number of shots used to show the actress running away. We chose to use different types of shots to create different atmosphere and draw the audiences attention to different things within the shot:
Close up- Actress running up the stairs
Long shot- Actress running away through the church ruin
Wide shot- Actress seen running amongst the church- whole scene can be seen.
Over-the shoulder shot: shot of the actress from behind, crossing out the pictures

Point 19-Cast and props..

For my footage I have chosen to use the our local woodland area and kirk..we hope this will create an errie atmosphere that will foreshadow the rest of the film. As this is a public place we will have to be carefull to leave it in the exact same way we found it but we do not have to seek permission to use it.
For props we will be using a backpack filled with a book with pictures of people with crosses next to them and a old book of voodoo or 'magic'.
Cast..due to the lack of people in my 'group' (eg Ursie and myself') we will be filming of of our friends. We have picked her for her willowing stature and long dark hair. She is very pretty and mysterious looking.
